The Wrangler carries on Jeep’s legacy in the off-road world for the 2022 model year. Buyers have a few powertrain options. These include a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine integrated with two electric motors and a 400-volt battery pack (4xe), a 6.4-liter V-8 HEMI engine, a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with engine stop-start (ESS) technology and 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 with ESS or mild-hybrid e-Torque technology. The Wrangler four-door models are also available with a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine with ESS. When it comes to 4×4 systems, the Wrangler features various technologies for your off-road adventures. The Command-Trac 4×4 system gives torque to all of your Wrangler’s wheels, for impressive traction when all four are required. Certain Wrangler models feature an available full-time Selec-Trac 4×4 System. This technology automatically switches to two-wheel drive for road travel or to four-wheel drive for continuous traction. This helps to improve the Wrangler’s efficiency. If you purchase a Wrangler Rubicon, the included Rock-Trac 4×4 System gives you even more control and more torque. The result is an off-road performance that can’t be beaten.
