All About the 2021 Grand Wagoneer in Greensburg, PA

What do we know so far about the 2021 Grand Wagoneer? It’s certainly not going to be released before the end of 2020. Some information has been confirmed, so let’s examine what we know so far.

The Basics

Both the impending Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are three-row SUVs, with the latter being the higher-end variant. Both are also built on the same platform as the RAM 1500.

Though not confirmed, we suspect second-row captain’s chairs as well as a second-row bench seat. The automaker has also confirmed the wagon will have best-in-class passenger volume.

In the frontal exterior, the seven-slot, chrome grille accented in Obsidian black is a major standout feature, as are the headlights trimmed in teak wood accents. Grand Wagoneer badges are strewn all over the vehicle.

What About the Nostalgic Wood Paneling?

One of the questions we get often is whether the Grand Wagoneer will have the retro wood paneling that the wagon became iconic for during its peak run in the 80’s. A wood panel side exterior is unlikely, though it could definitely be an option as a limited-edition release.

A Cool Glass Roof

A unique design feature never before seen is that the vehicle will have a glass roof with an etched map of Detroit, the city where the wagon will be built. This is optional, of course, and the default option is a standard roof. The glass is darkened, but from an aerial view, you can make out details of the interior.
