Service Above Self Memorial Day 5K

For a lot of us, Memorial Day is the long weekend that marks the start of the summer. But the holiday is also about much more. If you’re looking for a way to honor those who have served our country this Memorial Day, consider signing up for the Service Above Self Memorial Day 5K 2019.

About the Event

The Service Above Self Memorial Day 5K is hosted by the Rotary Club of Greensburg and Greensburg Salem Interact Club. This is a great, family-friendly, patriotic event to participate in during Memorial Day weekend. The race will be on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.

You can go ahead and register now! There are separate registrations for runners and walkers, but both cost $25. For kids, there will also be a fun obstacle course they can complete. That registration is $15.

Proceeds from the race will go to benefit Wounded Warrior Project and PA Hero Walk. Both of these organizations support veterans either nationally or locally. After their time in service, many veterans face challenges with returning home and re-entering civilian life. Both the Wounded Warrior Project and PA Hero Walk help veterans overcome these challenges and build full lives after they get home.

If these sound like organizations you want to support, signing up for the Service Above Self Memorial Day 5K is a great option!
